Erickson Construction Corporation has been a family owned business for over 50 years. My father, Donald, established Erickson Construction in 1960. He had worked as general manager for Carlson Construction in the 50's and brought his expertise to his own business. My brother, Doug, worked with my father from 1966 to 1984. I took over the business on Dad's retirement in 1987. My nephew, Doug Jr., helps me run the crews and keeps a sharp eye on details.
The name “Erickson” was made up by my Dad. He thought that the Norwegian/Scandanavian boat builders of yesteryear had a good building/construction type of name and reputation. He said that too many people misspelled or mispronounced the family name.
All of my work comes from word of mouth or job signs and I have not had to advertise in over 12 years. The company has had the same phone number since 1960 and often hears from past customers as far back as the 60's and 70's.
I incorporated in 1987 and carry Workers Compensation Insurance, Liability Insurance and Disability Insurance.
